Herb Ritts Inspired

One of our assignments was to take a photographer who is like a mentor to us and copy their style. I chose Herb Ritts, I absolutely love his work. My friend Ron modeled for this shot I was lucky to get her to do it considering she hates getting her picture taken. This was taken on a Canon 5D, ISO 500, exposure was 1/8 @ f/32.

Nice job on this. I love it in b/w. Check out those sweet catch lights! :) Good job on making it look like Herb Ritts. Also i love the contrast, it helps capture the mood of your model!

i really love this image, the posing is just right and you did a good job of not making her skin distract from her face. great lighting.

Hey you have some skill... I can see you getting better as I scroll down in your blog. Gorgeous choice of model! It's her eyes that put the story into the picture. I could tell she hated having her picture taken even before I read the description of the photo. But she seems to be having a little bit of fun despite herself, and at the very least enjoys the ego boost of being shot in a studio. She seems to hate the way she looks. You did a good job keeping the skin white.. not enough people realize how important that is. Do you happen to have an account on deviantart.com? If not, you should consider it. Look me up at artmancm at deviantArt. Keep up the good work!
