Large Format Porfolio

This shot was taked for portfolio in Large Format II. It was shot on transparency film using one Farrall Light. I am really proud of this shot. The lab was about to close so this was the only shot I took and it came out very well. I love the bright green of the apples contrasted with the white and brown of the bitten one. The lighting really works. This is one of my favorite photographs I have taken while at RCC.

The pattern created by the rows of apples is a nice contrast to the unpredictable and organic quality of the eaten core. The placement and composition of this frame works to make a fairly interesting image. I used this photo on the RCC PHOTOBLOG HQ page. This is a very good composition. The bright color works well with the bright lighting. I also like the sharp focus on the apples, even showing the water on them.

Hell yeah! Minimalism with a strong point-of-interest. Home run!
